Swim Meet in Webster
There is a swim meet in Webster on November 11th. The deadline to sign up for this swim meet is October 23rd. If you have a Varsity or Modified Swimmer that is looking to go to Silvers, Golds, or any other meet with cut times, please go to this meet!
It is important for Modified and Varsity swimmers to attend swim meets to earn cut times for the Silver Meet, the Gold meet and the Zones Championship meets.
High School times do not automatically transfer over to USA Swimming. In order for a HS swim time to count at the HS level for these cut times,the meet needs to be observed and sanctioned. Only invitationals and sectionals are allowed to be observed and the Meet Director needs to fill out paperwork, there needs to be the proper number of High School Officials and USA Swimming Officials, DQ's and meet results need to be reported. NO DUAL meets count. No MODIFIED meet times will count for USA Swimming.
If your swimmer wants to attend the Silver Meet, the Gold Meet, or the Eastern Zones ( or any other meet with a cut time) it is imperative that your swimmer goes to USA swim meets with the club to earn the cut times needed. The meet on Nov 11th is a good opportunity to do this and it is right before varsity/modified starts. The deadline to sign up for this is October 23rd.
Many returning swimmers did not make the cut times last season and were not able to go to the Silver meet and above. Please make sure your swimmer is going to meets with the club in order to make the times needed for the USA Swim meets with cut times.
